We dont have money to buy good players ok,but what is going on in our academies?when was the last time our academies produced skillfull wingers with speed and a goalscoring striker.
something is wrong with our avademies if we are not producing these types of players,when you dont have money then your academies are the lifeblood of the club.

If i were alafouzos i would be calling a meeting with the coaching staff of our academies and asking them where are the wingers and attackers we are producing?and if there arent any why not,what are we doing wrong?and bring in people who have a history of producing these types of players in brazil,argentina etc etc
we dont need defensive midfielders ,we need attacking midfielders,which for some reason we cant produce and i know why,pure laziness on the part of the players and inability of the coaching staff.

I don't buy that Vyntra is next on the list one second. He may not be as talented as people want and he might have a way to high salary, but when it comes to work ethic and to play for the fanella he seems to be on the opposite side of the scale compared to Katsou. Its not many days since he showed up on training even though the team where given a day off.

I'm more concerned on the behalf of Mr. Nivea aka Lazaros that seems to dont give a fuck, party boy Quincy and always "injured" Boumsong.

Ο Βασίλης Κωνσταντίνου ανέφερε πως η Διοικούσα Επιτροπή έδιωξε τον Κατσουράνη για εξωαγωνιστικούς λόγους, παραδέχτηκε πως ο Καραγκούνης ζητούσε χρόνο συμμετοχής 70 λεπτών και άνω για να παραμείνει, ενώ σημείωσε πως πρέπει οι παίχτες να αναλάβουν τις ευθύνες τους...

Ο Βασίλης Κωνσταντίνου μίλησε σε ραδιοφωνικό σταθμό για το θέμα του Κατσουράνη και ενώ αρχικά δήλωσε πως δεν ξέρει ποιοι είναι οι πραγματικοί λόγοι για την απομάκρυνση του Κατσουράνη, στη συνέχεια σημείωσε πως το θέμα είναι εξωαγωνιστικό. Ευθύνες καταλόγισε και στον Καραγκούνη για την εξέλιξη των πραγμάτων, αφού ζητούσε εγγυημένο αγωνιστικό χρόνο!

Αναλυτικά οι δηλώσεις του Βασίλη Κωνσταντίνου στον NovaΣΠΟΡ FM 94.6 για:

To ζήτημα του Κατσουράνη:

«Δεν υπάρχει αμφιβολία. Ο Κατσουράνης έχει δείξει τόσα χρόνια ότι είναι ένα πολύ καλός ποδοσφαιριστής. Όμως όλοι έχουν ελαττώματα και το θέμα είναι κατά πόσο μπορείς να εξαφανίσεις τα ελαττώματα αυτά. Όταν υπάρχει μια νέα διοίκηση που θέλει να φέρει ψηλά τον ΠΑΟ. Φαίνεται ότι ο Κατσουράνης δεν είχε αφουγκραστεί τις προθέσεις του κ. Αλαφούζου και τα νέα δεδομένα στην ομάδα».

Τι χρεώνει η διοίκηση στον Κατσουράνη;


«Είναι μια νέα διοίκηση, ένας νέος πρόεδρος, ο οποίος ακούει, μαθαίνει, ρωτάει και ενοχλείται με τις κακές εμφανίσεις. Ένας άνθρωπος που αρχίζει τώρα την καριέρα του ως παράγοντας. Πιστεύω ότι είναι μια απόφαση τελείως τεκμηριωμένη. Πολύ σύντομα ο κ. Αλαφούζος θα μιλήσει. Εμείς συμμεριζόμαστε ότι για να ληφθεί μια τέτοια απόφαση είναι όλα τεκμηριωμένα. Ο κ.Αλαφούζος είναι στις περισσότερες προπονήσεις αλλά για όλα και για κάθε ημέρα ενημερώνεται από τον κ. Φερέιρα και τον κ.Ελευθεράκη.

Φταίει και ο Κατσουράνης, λέμε. Ένας παίκτης δεν μπορεί να κάνει τόσο μεγάλη διαφορά. Ο ΠΑΟ έχει άλλες απαιτήσεις και δεν είναι αυτές που έχει δείξει μέχρι τώρα ο Κατσουράνης. Δεν ήταν συμπεριφορά στο παιχνίδι με τα Γιάννινα να φας έξι αγωνιστικές. Δεν μπορώ να πω τι οδήγησε τον κ.Αλαφούζο να πάρει την απόφαση αυτή. Νομίζω ότι σύντομα θα μιλήσει. Αυτή ήταν μια απόφαση του κ.Αλαφούζου και της Διοικούσας Επιτροπής. Κανείς δεν ξέρει ποιοι είναι οι λόγοι οι πραγματικοί. Εμείς έχουμε εμπιστοσύνη στον κ.Αλαφούζο».

Για τις αποχωρήσεις σημαντικών παικτών από τον ΠΑΟ:


«Ο καθένας έφυγε για άλλους λόγους. Ο κ.Αλαφούζος δεν θέλει να τους διώξει. Για τον Καραγκούνη δεν φταίει ο ΠΑΟ, oύτε ο Φερέιρα. Ήθελε να μείνει και να του εξασφαλίσουμε ότι θα παίζει 90, ή 70 λεπτά. Δεν μπορούσαμε εμείς να το εξασφαλίσουμε αυτό. Ο ΠΑΟ είναι σε μεταβατική περίοδο. Ο νέος πρόεδρος αναζητά τον τρόπο να τον ανεβάσει. Τα οικονομικά δεδομένα δεν είναι τέτοια για να φέρει παίκτες σαν τον Σισέ. Ο ΠΑΟ θα επενδύσει στα δικά του παιδιά και θα πάρει παίκτες αξίας για να πλαισιώσει του δικούς του Έλληνες».

Εάν έχει αντικαταστάτη ο ΠΑΟ;

«Υπάρχει. Καμία ομάδα δεν στηρίζεται σε έναν παίκτη. Ο Κατσουράνης δεν έχει ανταποκριθεί στην πραγματική του αξία. Ο ΠΑΟ βαθμολογικά είναι στη θέση που είναι. Ο Κατσουράνης δεν έχει ρόλο σε αυτό. Μπορεί να είναι ισχυρή προσωπικότητα αλλά στον ΠΑΟ δεν έχει δείξει κάτι τέτοιο. Ο ΠΑΟ θα ανακάμψει».

Για τους άλλους παίκτες με κακή απόδοση:

«Δεν είμαστε ικανοποιημένοι από κανέναν παίκτη. Με τον Κατσουράνη είναι εξωαγωνιστικό, που μόνο ο κ.Αλαφούζος μπορεί να πει και να εξηγήσει. Πολλά ακούγονταν από το καλοκαίρι».

Τι φταίει στην ομάδα για την κακή αρχή και πώς μπορεί να αλλάξει την ομάδα η αποχώρηση Κατσουράνη:

«Εάν φοβούνται ότι μπορεί να έχουν την ίδια τύχη και συνεχίσουν έτσι θα την έχουν. Θέλουμε να είναι πιο συνεπείς στις υποχρεώσεις τους για να μπορέσει η ομάδα να βγει από το πρόβλημα. Δεν είναι απειλή. Θέλουμε να αναλάβουν τις ευθύνες τους. Τα αποδυτήρια είναι ιερός χώρος προετοιμασίας. Δεν είναι για να κατηγορείς τον Α ή τον Β».

I'm actually quite upset at this.

First of all, as useless as Katsouranis has been, he's better than Vyntra & Spyropoulos who are still at the club. I'm starting to think they both have connections at the club that are keeping them there. Vyntra is still one of the highest paid players.

Secondly, Katsouranis is a good player. He's demonstrated this several times, the problem is his head is not in the game. It's drifted elsewhere, he doesn't play with motivation. Who's fault is this? Partly his, but also the fault of management for not getting the best out of him.

Thirdly, this is really a sign of giving up. Sure, we were never going to win the league, but the least the club could have done is put on a decent season for us and given us a decent position in the playoffs. I paid good money to support the club, I'd like to think they are at least attempting to do something back.

Really, who benefits from this? The club doesn't because now we're a player short. We could have kept him until January, then sold him for free that way we don't have to pay him a contract termination fee. The idea that this saves money is ridiculous, because of the previously mentioned reason.

Karagounis going was bad enough....but now this?

You know, the players we've had here in recent years...regardless of how they've gotten on, always talked about how much respect they were treated with here. That's why people like Cissé and Gilberto Silva still love the club despite the fact that they've gone. I see that policy doesn't exist anymore.

As much as I love Karagounis for what he has done for the club in the past and what he meant as a symbol for Panathinaikos he decided to leave. He wasn't forced out. He wants to play and Ferreira wasn't considering him for the team this year. Its that simple.

I think he expected a spot in the team based on past achievements and he was hurt that it wasn't the case. Frankly I'm glad he left because there would have been a lot more bitterness otherwise from both sides.


Katsouranis is a different matter. He switched off after the Malaga loss and that was that. He was on a vacation as a captain it was affecting the rest of the team.

I think Spyropoulos will go if he stays in form. Vyntra will be at PAO forever. No one else will pay him his current wages.
