Was also a little unlucky not to get two fouls awarded for clear infringements. The ref was woeful on those calls.
Nice work indeed to win a penalty thumbs.gif

Was an entertaining game to watch

He was MOTM today, he scored and got the assist for an own goal. He started off like Messi for the first 10 minutes running the pitch twice but then he faded out until he scored. It's amazing how he can run the pitch one minute and then can't make the simplest of passes. Maybe I'm being too harsh though he looks a class above any other SPL player.

Haha I see there was no discussion of his shitty performance in Celtic's 6-0 demolition of Kilmarnock a couple of days ago....

Didn't contribute much to the flow of the game and he even muffed a golden opportunity played to him by Kris Commons directly in front of goal. He was subbed out for Anthony Stokes in the 69th minute.

I am sorry MODS.....but ...buddy you are a putz.....lets hope that the squad wont be split like some you posters....being a hater or a backer....WHATEVER happened to cheering for the uniform...that why I love teams who dont put players names in the back of the jersey.

Right now....I could give a rats a$$ what fetfa...mitro..ninis...samaras do against Kilmarnock...or Ofi....can they GET TOGETHER and play as one...and have that common goal that every team should have in a tournament....WE not....me.

Now let Santos do his thing....and at the end of it......let the flowers or arrows fly!

What does this have to do with the National Team??????? That's a separate issue.

This is about Samaras and how he played...... I watch these teams play because they have a Greek on the team, but I'm not going to sugarcoat when he has a shitty performance. But nor will I take away from him when he has a good one. In this case, he had a lackluster one. What is wrong with that? Every week there is discussion about Sammy's games when he plays...all I did was spark one for this week.

No one brought up Fetfa, Ninis, or whoever else you brought up...this discussion is for Samaras and Samaras only.......

Better yet...what does Santos have to do with any of this???

Played until the 81st minute against Rangers today, and gave a nice trough ball to assist the 3-0 for Celtic.

He really does need to get out of Scotland.

It's a bad league getting even worse.

Well this will be a good chance for him if he wants to move out of Scotland in these coming euros.

Won a penalty and assisted two goals in Celtic's 5-0 win over Hearts in the final match of the season.

I watched the latter half--Hooper netted all 5 goals, too!

If you troll the Celtic FC forums, they're mostly pretty happy that a) he stepped his game up this season, and cool.gif they don't mind him not scoring if he's assisting like hell and dragging defenders around.

Wouldn't mind seeing him at a mid table English club. Can't see it happening tho.

I think Celtic will wait to see how far they get in the CL, and subsequently depending how well they do, they might plunk down some coin for a decent striker. They may be Scottish champions but that's just winning a two-horse race. Hearts have done well for themselves the past two years, ditto Hibernian. But they're all a long way from CL glory.

Realistically, for the Scottish league, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. They got Sammy on the cheap and if he maintains his mid/late-season form from last year, they will want to keep him. I still think he's too slow for the EPL.

He will continue to wither away in Scotland.

If we are assuming that past transfer rumours have been true, then he had his opportunity to move abroad to somewhere more prolific.....but he chose to remain in Scotland. He chose mediocrity.

I wouldn't expect anything else from him tbh.

i think the writing is on the wall - celtic will be forced to sell their high wage earners and samaras will be one of them.

i listened to an interview with nigel spackman and he said the same management that destroyed sheffield united, eventually moved on to rangers and did the same. the spl is teetering.
