Fetf will get a shot at the NT sooner or later... I'm no scout or judge of talent but to me the kid has some great skill!
Let him play at Oly alittle while longer, I'm sure next friendly or before seasons end... he'll get a call up..

Let him get a few games with the U-21, establish himself a bit more at Olympiakos, then surely he should get a call up. Give it another year or so maybe...

WHY?!

If he performs in the coming months why not give him a call and the boost it will give him?

This is the problem in Greece. Age is more than just a number in Greece, thats not reality. If you are good enough you are good enough, thats reality. I have said it numerous times, give him the call which will boost him and give him confidence in himself to work even harder during games and trainings. Let him feel the NT as early as possible and gel into the team. Fetfatzidis will be a vital memeber of our NT, even if he doesn't develiope much more. He offers something we don't have in Greece today. I bet he is faster than Koutisanikoulis and he has better ball control than any player in Greece. And yes, this I can say after watching him 7-8 times only.

X-factor players is EXACTLY what our NT needs. We have a good defence, no one can question this. What we don't have is x-factor players, that why we draw with Georgia till the 94.th minute, why we beat Malta 1-0 and why we loose out of the Euro with zero goals and zero points. We can't shock europe with tactics and set-pieces anymore

I'm confident over these 2 years of qualifying if Fetfa continues to shine Santos will call him. He stated he wants to play a possession game, well then eventually talents like Fetfa will be a must!

i really believe in this player and i really want him to succeed, i believe he has great potential and an excellent skill set that not many greeks possess, but PLEASE can we stop mentioning Messi with Fetfatzidis.

To say they are a similar build or have similar playing styles is fair enough and valid, but I have seen comparison of ability here which is ridiculous....we cannot christen this player a new messi, when Messi was Fetfatzidis' age, not only had he been in Barcelona's first team for 18 months, he was scoring a goal every other game in La Liga against the best teams in the world....

Fetfatzidis has played a handful of games and yes, he has looked impressive but he is no Messi, let's be realistic and fair.

you have to agree though, that his agility, the way he is able to shift his weight and elude players while maintaing the speed and the ball at his foot, is 'Messi-like'.

When I watch Fetfa, that's the player that jumps out at me that he looks like with those abilities. Even if he turns out to be the Greek Simao in the end, that's hardly a bad thing.

Even wears the same boots as Messi tongue.gif. We are not saying he is on the same level as Messi, similar type of player in terms of ball movement, dribbling, etc.

The potential is definitely there. With a bit more experience who knows??

If he continues to develop i could see him moving to Spain, or Germany sometime soon, as said many times he doesnt have the skills any Greek player at this point has, his footwork is miles ahead of any other Greek

Get him to work on his shooting and decision make, and we will have a massive player in him

I want youth in the National Team in the worst way. However, the boy has played in only a handful of competitive matches at the top Greek level. I think he should have a few more matches under his belt before he gets trotted out in front of European NTs, however shitty they may be.

If he stays in OLY's starting XI, maybe he deserves a look during the next international friendly. He has swagger with the ball

not yet. give this kid a bit of time, could overwhelm him to get too much too quick. let him develop playing games for us for a season or at least till the break and see hows hes doing at that point, if hes dominating which is what we're all hoping for him then by all means call him up. but if he were to get called up and didn't play the way he'd be expected to, it could really do damage to his confidence.

This is really too much pressure on poor Messi to handle. Firstly, we were all comparing him to Koutsianikoulis and if that wasn't enough now he has to live up to the tag as the new Fetfatzidis.

At the same age Messi was light years ahead of Fetfa, nothing to compare. Its like saying that Sofoklis Shortsianitis is Jordan like because they both can shoot a basketball.

Problem with some here is that they haven't seen any Greek player for dog's years even attempt to run straight at a defender with the ball and try to dribble him that once we saw Fetfatzidi do it, we all went a little batty.

He has played , what 5 games total ? Give him first at least 20 gamesin the OLY first team against different opponents and lets see what he may turn out to be. Ninis is only 6-7 months older than Fetfa but has played way more games than him and is more develpoed as a Pro and better equipped to handle the pressures right now, although I did read one PAO poster claim that Ninis is as good as Fabregas so I give up.

It's not just from one video that we can make any decisions--I agree with most of the posters here--give the kid some time to develop overall.

For one thing, he has to realize that if he can't hit the net for shit, he should dummy then pass. D'Allesandro is a prime example of a guy with amazing dribbling ability but a horrible shot. So make him an offensive MF and let him provide assists.
Karagounis and Katsouranis both need to go.

You can make a 10 minute highlight video of him from every game he plays...its time to be called up..maybe not play right away but its time for him to train with the national team

Ronaldo played 14 games before being called up-age 18
Ronaldinho played 6 games before being called up-age 19
Messi played 4 games before being called up-age 18...had a growth hormone deficiency ;D
Fetfatzidis has played 7 games for oly-age 19..had a growth hormone deficiency ;D..TEEHEE..its time for a call up

Hahah can't argue with that logic. Only that you are comparing a Greek youth to South American youth.
