Greece v Australia! Make it happen!

Surely it's time for Greece to come down to play another friendly. It's almost been 10 years since last time.

QUOTE (Skinny Joe @ Feb 8 2013, 12:10 PM) *
We were complaining about the same thing 5 years ago....new youth
Same mid field ,same boring soccer, same coaching ideas,no goal scorers

We need to stick our youth in there and let them mature and get experience ...our soccer can't get worse.
Canada plays more entertaining soccer than Greece

Shame...

I posted this Feb. 8th.......Santos is a disaster...he used the same line up that beat Bosnia 2 years ago, thinking we can repeat the past. While other countries are leaping past us we continue to keep playing old players who have nothing more to contribute.

Why the fuck r we not playing next week in a friendly..does this stupid Portuguese coach think we are so polished that we don need to try new players and try new tactics. He has lost the plot.. Where is the youth!!!!

Tell me other teams are playing friendlies next week... If there is, would have been perfect time to try the non boy club guys who could probly play like a football team

Santos will definitely switch up our midfield next friendly.................. by going with the KK Maniatis combo instead of Tziolis LOL

Anyone remember Santos's lie about creating two national teams - and A and a B, that will play lots and lots of friendlies to always test new players? laugh.gif

Why do people who claim to be workaholics always lie so much in life!

Team B would have had the perfect chance to play in a friendly this week like Lithuania is!

Yeah why don't we have a friendly before the Lithuania game like most other teams do? our next friendly with Austria isn't till August which is after the game. Yeah that makes alot of sense.

That means we've skipped the last 2 friendly dates, what a joke.

This is my biggest concern, no friendlies to play before or after World Cup Qualifying matches, how cheap can the Greek National Football Team get? Arrange some games for God sakes so the coach can expirience some new young bloods.

I was really anticipating Greece - USA friendly like around late June or early July mad.gif

We might be forgoing friendlies so that Santos can spend more time with the players on the practice field.

Guys, playing Devil's advocate here, but maybe Santos did want to play more friendlies? Maybe other factors have made it impossible to do so! Something like let's say the depression Greece is facing right now? Maybe there are budgetary constraints?

we missed out on one 'international friendly' date.. just days after the Bosnia loss....a date that a lot of others also sat out..

not sure what other dates you are all referring too..we normally play on all available days..

remember the govt. does not pay for the NT..EPO does....besides there would be plenty of Gulf states and Asian teams that would play us..and it would not cost us a cent..they would be happy to cover all expenses to play someone like Greece...So its NOT an economic issue at all..
