Croatia looked like shit today while Germany is by far the powerhouse of this group. 3-0 to the Germans.

lets hope the Germans put the "Final solution" to their fellow SS buddies. I can't stand the Cro's.....their just another false nation that shouldn't exist.

In 98, an aging Germany lost 3-0 to a radiant Croatia in the WC quarter finals. Funny considering the current teams.

^^^^^So true Philos. That Croatia team was a rather unkown entity at the time, young, energetic and with a lethal striker ( Suker ) finishing off all that creativity ( Prosinecki,Jarni,Asanavic etc )

Im not so certain that the Germans will have such an easy match on the 12th and the Croatians do have a fast passing and tricky midfield that will make the slower Germans chase for many periods of the match.

I predict a scored draw in this one as I still think that the Germans are a liability against the counter attack.

This one may end in a 1-1 tie, although Croatia looked crappy at best against Austria.

The Bilic half-time substitutes really worked well and exhibit how a team can benefit from more youthful players being injected into a lineup.

Croatia was disappointing in the first game, defended for 86 minutes after scoring, they don't seem to have someone up front good enough to find the back of the net. Germany as always will be attack minded and I don't see them losing this match.

Germany 3 - 0

Beautiful cross from the Croats, great finish and Lehmann had no chance. 1-0 as Croatia are playing up to their expectations now. 27th minute. Yellow card to Srna the goal scorer.

Croatia has run Germany off the pitch and should be more than a goal ahead. The Germans will be better in the second half though. This should be very interesting..

Well, there is nothing more dangerous for one team to have an opponent in Croatia and their coach, since they absolutely are capable of mixing their game and tactics a game after game, so you can't read them. They have a potent and talented coach and team to do that, something that is expected from Greece to know that famous mixing, so we will see whether you can do something like them.

From Bilić's first disappointing and conservative match, to this great response today in the first half. Absolutely the Mourinho No. 2: has charisma, talking to media, is able to put some pressure on him in order to give some breathing room for his players, a bit arrogant...

Anyone know of any online free greek (or english) radio station playing the games? Sport-FM goes in and out since they don't have the rights.

And I'm in the US so no BBC radio for me

Podolski deflected the cross that hits the post as Lehmann went flying by to get it, the two German defenders stood still and Olic had nothing but empty net to put the ball back in. laugh.gif When you have the luck...

Mario Gomez OUT
Schweinsteiger IN

Croatia's keeper has had a hell of a match and some big stops that have proven to give his team a nice cushion of a lead in the 66th minute.

Agreed. the injection of Rakitic into the lineup has made them a totally different team. The overall team play is quicker and Germany looks like a busted ass VW rabbit.

Croatias back four has been playing well for a change.

And you are very right Pleitikosa is having himself one heck of a game. The game should be 3-0 really given all of the Croatian missed opportunities.

What a change from Game 1.

Podolski can't stop scoring for his team. laugh.gif 85th minute currently as Croatia trying to hold on to their 2-1 lead.

Schweinsteiger you dumb shit. laugh.gif Red card for him as it's getting physical late. Yellow coming out like crazy as Modric and even Lehmann have nabbed one.

FT 2-1 as the Croatians are atop of Group B. Big surprise for Germany after a very nice first victory.
