1st Annual Hellenic Soccer Tournament (2006) Options

Just like the guys above I would like to take this opportunity to give big thanks to John for organizing this tournament. The tournament was undoubtedly a great success. It was a great event with some good matches being played. It was also a good chance to meet some of the members of this forum including out of towners like Kastorianos, Red Devil, Accor6, and others.

I would like to thank AEK Chicago for managing the Greeksoccer.com team. He did very good job in organizing everything from getting the team jersyes (three different ones at that) all the way to coaching the team to two unexpected victories.

Looking forward to next years tournament.

Yes, Yes. Yanni thank you for organizing an event that was by all accounts tremendous. Not enough can be said about that. Thank you as well for lending our team some of your serious offensive firepower.

AC, thank you for your inspired leadership, of which all in attendance on Wednesday practices and those present at the tourney bore witness. Your vision of fielding a solid team, much like Yanni's vision of hosting a successful tournament materialized. The jerseys were, as you promised--smart, even though the colors were quite foreign. Your effort in organizing the team was quite noteworthy as was your daily instruction. Thanks.


Mr. Yashin aka Kastoriane, you are the substance for which Prometheus was chained to that mountain and the reason for the name of Chicago's local football club. Your ability to bat away an opponent's shot or his adolescent comments was something of the marvelous. Likely, I will see you at the Empire State Building in section reserved for Ripley's Believe It or Not next to some wax figures of Siamese Twins or the Dog-faced Man, standing in your sweet Yellow and Red colored keeper's kit. The impression you have made is certainly indellible.

Mitso, GreekAus, Ziaka, subdee and the rest of the team members, thank you for providing me with one hell of an experience and enough laughs for a lifetime.

To the other teams and family and friends who made it, thank you.

It was a GREAT pleasure meeting and coaching the guys. Nonetheless, I doubt I'll return as coach next year as I have serious offers from Juve, Lazio, and the team of that little runt running around the field dribbling a ball up to his knees in Juve and Real Madrid kits. Can't decide which one I'll take.

only photos I see of 1006 are the team shots. Have you tried the multimedia section. There were contributors in the past in some forums there.
