SopCast

The greek channels on here are as follows

Ert Sat-- will show Olympiakos Prothatlima Matches
Mega Cosmos-- Soap Operas, Concerts
Ant1-- Good for evening news

They come and go from time to time.

Heres my guide to the program.
Installing SopCast

First you need to have Windows Media Player 9 or higher. Click the link to download if you dont have it or aren't sure.

Now you need to downlaod the SopCast software itself SopCast software itself. Click here and save the .zip to a location where you can find it. Unpack it with Winzip or Winrar to a directory and run Setup-SopCast-version.exe to setup with default choices. The WebPlayer will also be automatically installed.

OR you can get the web player. I personally havn't used this one.

Install SopCast WebPlayer

The SopCast WebPlayer is designed for web viewers. You can watch live games in Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox.
Download SopCastOcx from . Unpack it with Winzip or Winrar to a directory and run install.bat. Then the WebPlayer is registered on your computer.Here

Running SopCast

SopCast is pretty easy to use, but still you might need help running it the first time. First thing to do is open the program. On the desktop there should be an icon called Sopcast. It looks like this duble click it to start the program.
You will see a screen like this:



Unless you registered an account on sopcast.org (you dont need to to watch);
1) Select Log In as Anonymous
2) Hit Login
*at this point the program might crash, if so just repeat steps 1 and 2 again and it should work.

You now have a screen that looks like this:

For this guide we will open the channel CCTV5 as it is always there.

1) make sure you are on the channels tab.
2) locate CCTV5 and double click it. This will cause a new box to slide out from the sopcast window. Your screen will look like this:


The channel is loading. Give it some time to come up and enjoy the game!

Change Language to Greek


Use this picture to help you change the progam language to Greek:

1) Hit option on the main SopCast window
2) make sure you are on the general tab
3) Hit the drop down arrow
4) select any language
5) hit OK

TVU Player

Installing the TVUplayer:

1.) Download the TVUPlayer.zip file from the link below to someplace convenient - the Desktop is a good choice.

2) Find the TVUPlayer folder and extract it.
3) Double-click on the file called "TVUplayer2.3.0.exe". This will start the Install program.
4) In the Install program, choose the default buttons for the easiest install.




Using the TVUplayer:

1.) Click on the TVUPlayer icon on your desktop.
2.) Once the program loads look at the channel list on the left side, click
on any channel name to watch. It will take a minute or two to load stabilize, this is normal.
3.) Click on Full View to see the video in the full size of the TVUPlayer window or double click on the video to view it full screen. To exit full screen push ALT + ENTER

TV Ants

First you need to have Windows Media Player 9 or higher. Click the link to download if you dont have it or aren't sure.

Now you need the program for your streaming. TV Ants will get this done for you. Download the file Here and install it by running the .exe.

After you install the program restart your computer and run TV Ants. You should get a screen that looks like this:


First thing to do is make sure you are on the "search" tab. This is circled in red and labled 1 on the picture. Once you are there hit the "search TV" button, this is circled and marked 2. A list like the one you see in the picture should quickly populate the TV Ants window. It will all be in chinese but relax I will guide you thru.

Now that we have a list of channels which one do we watch? I will post here what channel all Greek National Team games will be on and aslo for most Greek Club teams games in Europe. (champions league, UEFA cup.) For this guide we will use the channel ESPN as an example. This is a great channel it is from asia and shows most of the Champions League games.

Use this picture for the next step:


Staying on the "search" tab you should now be on hit the quality tab. It is circled in red and labled with the number 1. Click it and make sure the arrow is pointing down. The top numbers should be 99 or 100. The other thing you should be looking at is the audiences tab, circled in green numbered 2. This will help when a game is on because the channel the game is on will usually have a huge number of audiences, usually around 150. This is a GOOD thing becuase TV Ants works like a torrent, the more people the better. Back to the guide. The Channel ESPN should now be near the top of the list. On the picture I have it highlited and labeled with the number 3. To start this channel, or any channel DOUBLE CLICK on it. This should open 2 windows that look like this:


The box circled in red and labeled 1 will take you into the chat room. Where it says user name enter watever you want and dont enter a password. Then hit enter chatroom. I will usually be in there. You can close the chatroom when ever you want, it will not effect the video. The box circled in green and labeled 2 is your video box. If you see this you have done everything right. It will take a minute or two to load the video so relax it is coming.
