OLY fans would have a lot more credibilty if they just straight up said that they are constantly favoured in most matches in the SL. Then just add to that and say that you also have the best team in terms of talent and we can all have a nice healthy discussion regarding that.

No team in the SL has so many of the goals they have scored doubted like the OLY ones. The Derbyshire goal was so blatant that the assistant ref , was either scared,on the take or a complete idiot who doesnt have a clue about the offside rule.

You have a point there. My theory (stated by many others as well) is that the officials are so scared of the Kokalistan establishment that they will do their best to ensure favourable calls to Oly in order to enhance their career.

I remember when, many years ago, all three POK teams were getting favourable calls at the expense of the rest of the league. However, in the last 10 years or so it seems that it is only Oly that gets all the calls.

I also believe that officiating is not the only reason for our poor standing in the SL. We have not played good soccer; for example, good teams do not lose twice to Ergotelis.

I have answerd this so many times but someone always asks it.

It's not like they sit around a table before every match and decide the ref should favour oly. There is a directive, or understanding, from start of the eason that referees should treat Olympiakos in a certain way throughout the season. That's from start to finish.
Last few years you have been getting favourable calls even after you won the protathlima mathematically. It's nothing to do with how many points you have etc.

If I remember correctly Briakos (who apparently screwed AEK and gave OLY the prwtathlima in 2007, even though we were ahead like 10 points, was send down to B' Ethniki after being a SHIT ref). My guess is complete idiot who doesnt have a clue about the offside rule. This I attribute to the thug fan mentality where any of the half decent officials have been assaulted repeatedly over the years for blowing the wrong way at the wrong time regardless of whether or not it was the right decision and then got attacked accordingly. These people have families and would rather go home to them, than not go home at all. In the days where both fans were at the stadium, this indecision was less frequent.

We are not blissfully ignorant. We recognise that:

1. There are calls that are shit.
2. Calls that are up for conjecture and go for and against us.
3. Calls that go our way that deservedly go our way, but will be up for conjecture anyway, because our counterparts fail to recognise a legitimate foul because it may have won us the match.


Plain and simply this so called theory that we are "blissfully ignorant or deluded to the point of blindness" is something that opposing fans have come up with because some of us actually understand why the ref gets the calls the way he does and recognise why he may have made a shit call.

Where the misunderstanding and aforementioned idea comes from is that our counterparts assume that we are okay with this, because we are 'winning titles'.

I would personally like to say from an Olympiakos fans perspective:

1. We are not happy that we get dubious decisions go our way.
2. This then causes our eventual championship to be questioned.
3. This is annoying because if it there is any grey area then all our opponents refuse to acknowledge our champions status.
4. Most of the time we didnt even need help anyway.
5. When we then complain on the occasions that we get the raw end of the stick we get told that we shouldnt be complaining.
6. If officiating was evened out it would be better for everyone.

The best part? Then you get the same bitter individuals that happen to go for the same team as I do who dream up the following scenario:

"we continue to get questionable calls after the end of the season due to the others paying off the refs to discredit our championship".

My biggest issue? The fans don't have the power. Thats like claiming a child is at fault for writing on the wall when clearly the fault lies with the parent for enabling them. This is the problem in Greek football. The owners and the EPO officials enable the fans by allowing the to do whatever they want without any reprecussions.

They aren't afraid of the fans. They simply don't want to change the status quo. Look only as far as your own team's owner who hires the most fanatical and deluded of Gate 7 into positions with the team. If you want to blame anyone blame him.
