Since this summer is a Euro year, even if PAO does come to NY i doubt any NT players will come.

Maybe we get to see Eki !!11

1. Los Angeles a city with about 10-13 million people
has a Greek community of about 70,000 people.
2. There are about 15,000 Greeks in the Houston
area. The Greek consulate estimates the total
Greek population of Texas and Oklahoma to be
about 50,000 people.
3. Boston estimates its Greek community at 60,000
(total estimate for New England area is 250,000)
4. New York City area has many Greek communities
– about 450,000!!
5. The Illinois State Census lists 435,000 of Greek
descent.
6. Atlanta has a Greek community of about 20,000.
7. New Orleans, Louisiana has a Greek community
of about 12,000 descended from the island of
Chios.
8. San Francisco, California (population 6.5 million)
reports about 50,000 in the Greek community.
9. Tarpon Springs, Florida, has a famous Greektown
that makes up one-third of the city’s population
(25,000).
10. According to the 2000 census 1,153,295 people
report their heritage as Greek. 365,435 speak
Greek at home.

Not to bag on Australia but the country of Australia has 700,000 from Greek decent that is the same amount of Greeks as there are in the Los Angeles area. I might sound a little biased but I believe that a Panathinaikos game in LA would draw many more fans then one in Australia. Well thats just my 2 cents

I dont know where you got that info from but the American Greek propaganda machine must be working in overdrive laugh.gif

Its known all over the world Melbourne has the third largest Greek-speaking population in the world after Athens and Thessaloniki.

Google is your friend smile.gif

Its obvious that Pao will come to Australia. As for America they may go there to get lucky and earn some bigger dollars dry.gif

Agreed!! Every year there are 3 large clubs that play in T.O, So perhaps they will include PAO next summer.

a couple years back, I got to see PAO BC play Raptors, and it was 20k screaming PAO fans in the Air Canada Centre (Centre is spelled right).....with 160K greeks in the Greater Toronto Area, Rogers Centre would easily be a sell out!

Not sure if you remember in th 80's we used to get PAO, Oly, and other clubs making their way to Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver??
