I like how the two Greeks Stoltidis and Patsazoglou led the come back, you could just tell they had enough of this shit.

Djordjevic was the reason for the turn around IMO. He is quite simply the greatest Olympiakos player to have played.

Just got back after a 32 hour round trip. Truly amazing night, shame that only 3 from these forums went after all. This game will be long remembered.

Thanks to all the bandwagon fans who now absolutely love Olympiakos despite predicting doom and gloom just 24 hours ago. Thanks also to all the haters, I dedicate this victory to your endless bile. thumbs.gif

Right off to bed now.

They definitely shut him up, the best part was watching Stoltidis score another important goal for us right in front of him.

one of the funniest moments of the evening was when lemonis subbed galletti... suddenly you saw 5.000 moutzes from our stands (2.500 kosmos... kai me ta dyo xeria)...

2 minutes later Kovacevic scores unsure.gif

...20 minutes later crowd was chanting: Ta-kis Le-mo-nis, Takis Lemonis laugh.gif

ps. derby newspaper... quite funny! It must have hurt to win where the others copped 5 laugh.gif

What an amazing achievement! After 10 + years, we’ve finally achieved “the impossible” and won a game away from home. I’ve watched the game twice, and I am still amazed after watching that 2nd half display. Where did this come from? The one touch passing, the well sustained/supported ball possession; I had to pinch myself because for the final 30 mins of the game I thought the team in the red/white kits was Arsenal with that kind of free flowing attacking style of football! The most important thing about this result is the fact that no longer can our opponents expect a win when Olympiakos comes traveling into town. We all know that with football, and every sport really, the mental component of the game is HUGE! Often, depending on the attitude/mindset of the two sides, a match is won or lost before it even begins. In years prior, many of our players were certainly aware of our dismal away record, and even though they were playing for the win, I am sure many felt that at one point or another that “the curse” would continue. I think the major difference this year is the new influx of foreign based players like Galletti, Lua Lua, Ledezma, Kovacevic, exc. They all have a fresh outlook on the possible successes that can be achieved with this team, and they havn’t had to experience the European hardships of years past. I just hope that this result doesn’t have every die hard fan expecting a win away every time from now on. At the end of the day, although it is important to support our club and remain optimistic, our expectations should remain realistic. We are by no means a European powerhouse, but I am almost certain that it will not take 10 + years to achieve a similar result once again!

Πόσο πολύ Τσούζει;

Βέβαια, από την Προεδρική εφημερίδα τι θα περίμενε κάποιος να διαβάσει; Για την ΚΑΤΑΝΤΙΑ που έχει φέρει στο «πράσινο» στρατόπεδο; Για τους 6000 ανθρώπους που παρακολουθούν τα ματς στη Λεωφόρο;
Για το ΠΩΣ κατάντησαν έτσι τον Παναθηναϊκό;;;;

IPB Image
IPB ImageIPB Image

QUOTE(Greekaus @ Oct 4 2007, 05:08 AM)

Congartulatiuons my ass , I was hoping Olympiakos would lose again and embarass themselves and as for Greek coefficient points , I could give a damn.You want points then go earn them.
I have to say though that that second half performance by OLY was brilliant and some of the very best Ive ever seen from any Greek team ever.Counter attacking game to perfection and some excellent well taken goals. Never thought it was possible,not because of any lack of quality from your players as its undeniable that this years squad is very good with plenty of options but despite your inept coach the display was fantastic and the result deserved.
Dont have to like a team to admit they played a good game, interesting concept that and some posters here in these forums may want to try it sometimes.

I totally agree with you. I understand the AEK and PAO fans who say congrats, but to be happy about a Olympiakos victory? huh.gif Europe or Not i cant?

But congrats you played good, but i would rather see porn again sad.gif

lol even though I like Lemonis, and believe in him...When he subbed Galletti, I was one of thos with the double Mountzes....Just a reminder, Stoltidis scored, Kovacevic had the first shot.

I was upset at halftime because I saw a team in Olympiakos, that could dominate the game if they wanted to, but had just played with fear. I didnt like the fact that we didnt pressure the middle of the field, which is where Werder will control their whole game.

That, thank God changed in the second half, where you saw the DM's, especially Patsatzoglou press in that area, and take the ball very easily from the Werder players. I think that was a major turn for us. Thats when we were able to start our own attacks, and move our team forward. BRAVO STA PAIDIA!!!! THEY FINALLY PLAYED WITH THE HEART, SOUL, HEAD, AND WITHOUT FEAR TO WIN A GAME AWAY FROM HOME IN THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE!!! thumbs.gif worshippy.gif thumbs.gif

I don't know why you guys thank niko saved the game? He made some big saves, but not as though we didn't miss our own big oppourtnities, and we did score 2 more goals then they did..we deserved the win.
