It's too bad for AEK letting a player like Blanco go. I truly hope that some other Greek team can snatch him up. The Greek league can sure use more players like him. This is always been an arguement of mine that most Greek teams management simply keep making wrong decsions. Once again too bad.

All pride aside and all stubbornness aside I have to come clean.Panathinaikos or not Blanko is one of the players whose departure will truly hurt me. After all these years I can't even imagine the team without the name BLANKO in the black and yellow. He truly gave us his all and he truly has become a legend for the team. I was always one of his supporters when others doubted him and I always saw the energy and effort he brought to the team when he would come on off the bench.
I will never forget the game his first season (dont remember specifically) when he was in offense and just had a chance to score and then when we got hit on the counter ran from one side of the field to the other to save us from a goal. The guy bleeds black and Yellow and I truly hope we see him play for us again one day. Blanko is a truly humble guy UNLIKE that spoiled brat Scocco, I am glad that Blanko finally has the chance to talk about the fact that he was used out of his position so often and that this ruined his rhythm. Even then he found ways to score and without a tripla. Blanko will always have a special place in our hearts , he will always be the one and only Zorro! Thank you Blanko , thank you for everything, thank you for respecting our jersey and making us proud all these years!  ISMAEL BLANKO

Legia won Polish Cup match against Gryf (4th division) 3:0 away. Blanco has scored a goal but that game wasn't his debut at Legia. So far in league games he was quite poor.

So far there are not so many chances to have an opinion on this subject. In every media news, when he was announced as new Legia player, it was told that he was 2 times GSL top scorer. Legia plays 4-5-1 and that one striker is former Serbia NT player, Daniel Ljuboja. That's why Blanco most time spends on bench. In yesterday's match he had great chance to score a goal in added time but his header went in very center of a goal. He also came from Mexico not in good form, he is not well prepared to play and far away from his form when he was in AEK. We have to wait to see more from him, I will let you know if something interesting happen in Poland.

Blanco has scored today goal from penalty kick against Arka Gdynia (2nd division) in Polish Cup semi-final 1st leg. He was 90 minutes on the field but except that goal he did nothing worth to mention. But all team have played really poor game. On saturday top match in Polish league - in Warsaw Legia against Ruch (1st vs. 2nd team). Probably he will start on bench, because I think Legia will play in 4-5-1 formation with Ljuboja as a striker.

no it's not the right thread but Manduca scored for Apoel against Real in Madrid today to make it 2-1. went on to lose 5-2. oh well. brings me back to the days when we played Real in the CL. 3-3, what a match!

There was a friendly game Legia vs. Sevilla (0:2) in Warsaw this afternoon.
Blanco missed penalty shot  After the game head coach of Legia said: "I am worring about Blanco's performance. Season is about to conclusion and his form should be rising. If he'd score a goal, it would help him a lot. Additionally he picked up an injury and I am not sure if he will be fit for next match. However that doesn't change the fact that he should play better." |

Correct. Rule 1 of Cypriot football states:
