Just to dredge this topic up a little. I'm not sure how the legal aspect of this works but Karaiskaki itself is painted red and white, red seats, 21x black seats spelling out the number 7, Olympiakos logos all over the place, Red store, Red cafe and Olympiakos museum.

If Ethnikos did manage to share the stadium, what happens to all this stuff?

Would Ethnikos supporters leave it unmolested and would they even turn up to somewhere so closely linked to their rivals?

Another thing though is at the top of the Venizelou Eleftheriou is a cracking grillhouse owned by an Ethnikos fanatic. I'll take a picture and post it in here when I'm next there (will be sometime this year!)

To the question of whether they would turn up, the sentiment of most Ethnikos fans goes something like this - unless they paint half the seats blue, or all the seats white, I will never step inside that stadium again, not even for a national team match.

Ethnikos is going to have to finally come back up though (hopefully this year) before this is even discussed in any seriousness, and even then, who knows if it would be discussed in any seriousness.

For what its worth, Ethnikos' deal at Elliniko, signed last year, is for 3 years with an option for a further 3 years.
