Breadown of what will be tonights crowd in Oakleigh, 60% Hellas fans, 10% Oakleigh ( mostly oak commitee and a few moron ex south fans who are probably pissed about something that happened 15 yrs ago) and 30% locals who go for the social scene and only bother to look at the ground when a goal is scored..and cheer for the team that happends to be winning in the last 10 minutes.
I cant handle losing to these pricks, they represent everything thats wrong with Greeks here...South is a real club, real supporters who turn up for the football...not to pick up...massacre them boys

Great night in Oakleigh, South overturning a 1-0 half time deficit run all over those hacks 3-1 in the 2nd half...Fernando, Keenan and Rixon on the scoresheet...great win and great performance (2nd half) those dirty oakleigh tossers can stick it

Great game. Yes I agree we played better second half. Ref was shocking tonight. Rixon got fouled and then they scored. I was pissed off and wanted to leave. There was a hardly a cheer when they scored anyway. I hope we keep playing this way.

I'd say maybe 1200-1500, pretty much all Hellas fans, you could hear a pin drop when Oakleigh opened the scoring....of course Neos Kosmos will write 3,000 on Monday
 Now im pretty much convinced that Oakleigh is the Greek club with the least amount of fans, i dont give a stuff how many ppl turn up to their games, when they score and you get no crowd reaction for me that indicates a nothing club...even northcote gets a small cheer when they score against Hellas...anyway happy with the win and glad we most likely wont have to play at that tip again this season. |

Who went last night? 1-1.
Heated game to say the least lol. 2 red cards to Richmond, and their coach got sent off in the first half after it kicked off in the middle of the park and one of Richmond's players was (rightly) sent off. There were careless tackles flying around everywhere. Players swearing at coaches, coaches swearing players. Everyone giving the linesman shit. Very heated game. We copped an early goal, then not long after their player was sent off we equalised. We failed to score a winner in the second half, very disappointed. We even had ten minutes with Richmond having only 9 players. They did very well to hang on. We should of won. Crowd: approx 800 (Richmond have no fans). Next week is another week off, week after we play the Southern Stars Turks. |

Just a reminder South are at home tomorrow night to Southern Stars, back at home after 6 weeks away and the first match at the new lakeside under lights....kickoff is 8.30pm hopefully we can get a decent turnout and a win.

Because of the new venue/lights i think the club just wanted to try out the novelty factor of a home friday night game, after tomorrow night i think we only have 1 other friday night game for the remainder of the season, the rest are on a Sunday...personally i prefer Sundays but 1-2 friday night games a year doesnt bother me. Looks like it will be a cold one but with the protection of the stands it shouldnt be that bad, would be brutal if we were playing at an open park like most vpl grounds. |
