I disagree..Leto was dribbling dribbling dribbling to impress either Liverpool or Oly in order to get a contract. Now he doesn't need to impress anyone. You got your self a nice contract, your feature seems propitious you don't need to worry about no contracts anymore.... relax and play the soccer you really know

Remember what I said last season about Christodoulopoulos.

Im not one of those idiot fans.

I will agree to disagree with you, but I dont think Leto has the temperament to make it playing football anywhere but in Argentina!

Accor dont you understand Thryleon is god? When he makes a prediction which comes true it is because of his genious. But when he makes a false prediction its just his "opinion"...ase me thryleon I dont think it takes a genius to see Leto's style of play. I have said IF he changes his personality on the pitch he will succeed. If he doesnt he wont. Simple as that.

Argentina is a bit of jungle in terms of their playing style. Players are free to dribble as much as the like, they are encouraged actually to do so. I'm hoping cate can manage him well and if he can learn tactics he will understand the game better and will become a big player. I'm just worried a little, as liverpool gave up on him so soon. After all he has an incredible ability but lacks the head strength at the moment, but nevertheless i think you guys are just bitter in losing a great talent to your rivals.

I honestly think you guys signed him just to piss Oly off.

Just letting you know it failed and we will improve without him

If he pulls his head out if his ass and plays for the team he can be dangerous, but i dont see it happening

Do you seriously think that he chose Pao over us ?? come on you dont believe that . If we agreed to the fee that Liverpool wanted he would be an Olympiacos player now..plain and simple

Either way signing him is a gamble...if it pays off kudo's to you guys..

I honestly think you havent thought this one through. We signed him because we needed a left winger with pace and he ticks the boxes in that regard. Now I am not convinced that he will have a good season yet your claim that you will improve without him is a bullshit statement if I ever heard one. You have not signed a player to fill the void so there goes your argument.

Thrylos G7, I dont believe many people on this forum believe that he "chose" PAO over Oly. He simply went where he had an offer, the player himself has stated that he was waiting for an offer from Oly before any other offers came through.

Every signing is a gamble these days regardless of the size of the fee or the reputation a player has before coming.
This entire Leto situation isnt as obvious as the stupid media sites are wanting to tell us. He had many disciplinary isuues at OLY but that could of come about from his knowledge that the team may never put in an offer to buy him. Who knows the truth anyway.
LIverpool did not give up on him that quickly but they realized that he may never be able to get a work permit in England so might as well cash in on him now. They did however put a clause in his deal that in the future if PAO puts him on the market that thery would have first refusal on him. Perhaps by then , Leto will be a Argentinian NT and work permit issues in the UK would not be a problem.

All sounds far fetched but the bottom line is that Leto as a left winger is better than Ivansitzch and Lazaros who played last year.

You didn't have the money to pay him as much. Right not PAE Olympiakos doesn't have the funds ( you are about 25-30 mil euros under) to spend right and left thus all this auksish tou metoxikou kefalaiou , Marinakis etc. If all works out and it goes through it will be good otherwise don't expect big transfers from Oly this year, expect of course from Melberg

How much have you spent on signings???

And please tell me, if Olympiakos has so much money why dont they spend it to pick up two CLASS players (Gonzales and Kallstrom)??

Fact of the matter, Olympiakos were hit HARD by not qualifying for the CL and as Accor correctly pointed out, thats why Kokkalis has started this polymetoxiko business. You honestly think he wants more people into the PAE just for the sake of it? The guy is a money grubbing whore and he will not see anymore money come in, if others dont invest. If you guys dont make it CL this year as well... I woudlnt be surprised if Oly goes on sale for bargain prices next year.

It wasnt too long ago when Olympiakos retired legend Djorjevic hailed Leto as his replacement on the left side for many years to come. Now all of a sudden he is no good because he plays for PAO?

Common' Oly fans are devasted inside, as any fan would be.

real wanted ronaldo, man u was powerless to stop them
real wanted kaka, milan was powerless to stop them
real wanted benzema, man u could do nothing about it but look for whoever real doesn't want
real wants ribery, he comes out and says "real or nothing"

we wanted konstantinou, we got him
we wanted mantzios, we got him
we wanted lazaros, we got him
we wanted cleyton, we came in last minute and got him
we wanted dimoutsos, we got him

see the pattern??? we ARE the real of greece. we get what we want....except "help"

to be fair, we did lose lagos...

^^ Dont forget Avraam too, and I believe you guys were linked with Mellberg also?
Where did they end up?

The rumours we hear usually involve all of our clubs, its all about a perceived battle rather than an actual one.

QUOTE (accor6 @ Jul 2 2009, 04:08 AM) *
What did you say about Xristod.?

That we shouldnt be interested and neither should PAO based upon the fact that Lazaros hasnt accomplished anything yet in his football career and at the couple of million required to acquire him was not worth the money.

Nope, I dont make predictions often. I form an opinion based upon what I know about some players. After a season representing olympiakos, I came to the realisation that Sebastian Leto is simply not good enough for either of us not based on his talent, but based upon his capacity to contribute to the team.

Unless this changes (at 23, most people have already formed their bad habits and will not leave them behind easily) you guys will become frustrated with Leto by December. Even then, when push comes to shove, he will return to his ways seeing as players instinctively make decisions as fatigue sets in.

He can hit a good dead ball, and its more than likely that he will contribute more in dead ball situations than he will during open play based upon his temperament. He may turn out to be good, but you wont see it this season, give it a year or two.
