Hey guys, I watched the rise and fall of WCW last night and have to say him impressed I was with Bischoff and the direction he originally took WCW but also just as stunned to how it all fell apart... reading more about Bischoff and his time as RAW general manager and I find a similar trend, started off great but ended up getting sacked (don’t remember why into too much detail) and then he got ridiculous again as quote;
QUOTE
he restarted matches if he didn't like the outcome. He also got revenge on Maria for her statement made in his trial the year before by making her face Umaga, forced John Cena to "take the night off," and banned DX from the building. He restarted the match between Jeff Hardy and Johnny Nitro for the WWE Intercontinental Championship after Hardy won by DQ. Bischoff restarted that match as a No Disqualification match, and Nitro took advantage of that using Melina to distract Hardy and striking him with the title belt. At the end of the show, DX interfered in the main event when Bischoff tried to help Edge and Randy Orton win the tag team titles, and forced him to be humiliated by "Big Dick Johnson" as revenge for costing them their match the night before.

What do you guys think of him? He seems to know the recepy of success for Pro Wrestling but just gets to carried away which is a shame... is it his story lines that drag on to much of does he just get lost in the moment?

Would love to hear others thoughts on him

The man was and is an absolute genius of Professional Wrestling, he knew what to do and when to do it, he just didnt know when to stop. This is partly the fault of WCW Management because he was calling the shots and had no filter to run ideas through at the end of it. McMahon always has the last say in WWE this was when Russo and Bischoff or anyone else in creative made a suggestion. WCW didnt have that capacity and that ultimately lead to its downfall. It was a great doco and i must say that i have watch it a few times over and it still makes me think it over.

He has a great mind for wrestling, i dont know how much it will work in TNA but as for the WCW days, he pulled it off and stunned everyone..! It remains to be seen wheather lighting will strike twice.

I was very suprised how the down fall started, I forgot the name of the PPV. When Goldberg was taking on Dimond Dallas Page and the network cut off?? I found the documentary interesting but they rush through it abit... did the main fight get cut off or the whole PPV after 5-7 mins?

I think the man is a genious and i compare him to Dusan Bajevic..When hes at a company he needs to have alot of power and to be calling all the shots..I think that was his downfall at WWE...Although at WWE he was the mastermind behind the Elimination Chamber wich i have to say was one of my favorite matches and is probably my favorite wwe structure..At wwe Vince had too much power over him wich is why he started abusing the little he had to begin with, i also think they used him as a pawn to give way to the whole ECW return and basically ECW's win over WCW...

At WCW it was not Bischoffs fault(not entirely) that WCW went under..There were alot of things that were going against him and he basically did th ebest with a great amount of money tha the had..The problem was that as Turners power started getting less so did Bishchoffs and the real reason WCW went under wa snot because of Bishchoff or WWF but because of the Time warner buyout, thus why alot of the storylines were rushed and other were left in the middle...The time warner buy out was also forcing him and WCW to drag out the NWO storyline so much longer, because in the past all the NWO twists would bring in big ratings and there was no time to really start something new and as epic.....I actually think that Bischoff is a good leader for excepting responsiblity for alot of things that werent his fault...

They had a contract for the run time of the PPV, they went overtime and the company pulled the plug. They just let it happen thinking there would be no problems... boy were they wrong, They had to refund millions of dollars in PPV subscription for that event pushing them further into debt.
