I couldnt stomach the idea of a Dallas forum, and not a 49er one.
So here it is.
A thread to discuss the 5 time SB champs, and the NFLs most glorious team.
I dont know how many49er fans we have here on GS, but I encourage you all(if there are any of us left after the last decade laugh.gif ) to direct any info or discussion on the 49ers into this topic.

On top of what? The FBI most wanted list? tongue.gif

I'll tell you one thing the 49ers have done in recent time that the cowboys haven't... won a playoff game!

Don't worry guys, the 49ers will rise again. And when we do, we'll do it by beating "America's team" and sending them on a decade of futility. I mean that's what the 49ers do: They kill the Cowboys... 1981, 1996...wink.gif

No other Franchise can claim the dominance the 49ers enjoyed from 1981-1994. 5 Super Bowls in 13 seasons.

Arent they in one already??
Theyre last playoff victory was in 96!!!
Pathetic
Americas team my ass
More like the FBIs team as someone mentioned above
The cowboys are a circus, and Jerry Jones is their retarded ringleader
Their more apt for a freakshow, than they are for the NFL
Raiders-the sequel

How about this dagger on the last play of the half of the 1994 NFC final, which all but did in the hapless cowboys

How about this one boys
T.O was a nobody, 4th on our depth chart, before he made this catch.
His time with us after this catch, was unbelievable.
IPB Image
It was on the last play of the game of the NFC divisional play-off, 30 yards out, in Frisco, down by 4.
Steve Young, after tripping taking the snap, recovers , and throws a perfect pass 30 yrds downfield, into the endzone, into double coverage. Owens out leaps 1 defender, catches the ball, is devestated by 2 safetys trying to dislodge the ball as he comes down , miraculously holds on for the game winning touchdown.
The best finish Ive ever seen, Owens had to be carried off the field, he was balling his eyes out. Steve Young says that Terrell Owens from that day on,til now, doesnt stop thanking him when he sees him for throwing that pass.
A star was born
It could have been great T.O
But no one comes before the team
Enjoy Dallas re kerata

worshippy.gif Great game, we had finally beat the Packers... Owens still had braces, and he was third in the debt chart... after Rice and J.J. Stokes (what a bust)...

We were destined for the Superbowl that year... Too bad Garrison Hearst got nocked out in the game vs the Falcons... We lost our freaking running game...

Ahhh, my dear brothers, it's so nice to have fans of the red and gold here... I was born and raised in the Bay Area (San Jose), spent my first 30 years of existence there (only recently moved to NY) and let me tell you what a treat it was growing up in the glory years of the 49ers! I've been to many games at the 'Stick, and as much of a dump it was/is, there was nothing better than watching my Niners destroy teams. It was madness, anything short of the Super Bowl was considered a busted season. Which is why it pains me so much seeing this recent debacle. When you demand, expect and many many times achieve greatness for so long, it makes these past years so much more hard to bear. I mean during the 80's and 90's how many seasons did we do 14-2, 13-3 and so on?? Ugh, watching them now makes me want to vomit. Bring me back the genius of Walsh and his west coast offense and watch him pick apart teams. Fuck Belicheck, he's a novice compared to Walsh. Sigh... nostalgia...

That was the night Jerry Rice came back 10 months early from his injury and scored 2 touchdowns!
What a legend!

Tuff game today boys
Cant see us puling this one out, especially on the road
You never know though, thats why they play the games

The problem starts with the Yorks ownership of the team
They make Tzigger look like steinbrenner
AUntil this franchise is sold, I see little hope in the days ahead

Tough defeat to the Giants today.
What makes it more painful is that we made it very easy for them to beat us.
Too many mistakes.
O Sullivan was horrible, we will go nowhere with him.
Turns over the ball way too much.
We would be driving, playing good offense, and boom-int,int,fumble.
I thought the Giants would be better than they were today, but they didnt need to be...
2-5, our season is coming to a quick end my friends

I see promis in our #84 WR Morgan.

As for O'Sullivan, he should change his name to o'TOOL... I just couldn't understand some of those picks and useless fumbles..........

If you take away those two boneheaded picks at b4 the half, and score on 1 of those drives, we could have been tied up at halftime.
Otoole threw that game away for us by himself
If you watched the game, did you notice not 1 of our players was talking, or offering words of encouragement to Otoole?
The teams lost faith in him.
he should have been pulled at halftime imo
Dont be surprised if we see Hill under center next week

Nolan is out as head coach. Singletary to take over.

I don't see this making much of a difference in the long run because as you said the real problem is ownership.
