I would like to see Fetfa somewhere else. But it would be a good move for Fortounis.

Good move IF Kaiser get relegated, he MUST stay in the Bundesliga to mature and have the best coaching, should never go back to the SL, unless he fails, which i hope wont happen

Kaiserslautern-Werder Bremen in 15 minutes

Fortounis starting
Sokratis starting

No Petsos today though? Not even on the bench!

Yes Petsos has lost his place in the starting 11. This was the first game Sokratis played as a CB for Werder. I wonder if they are planning to move him to a new position (old position for him of course).

Fortounis has an exit clause on his contract if his team is relegated to the second division (smart move considering what happened to Gekas and Tzavellas). Any team can get him for 800k. Werder Bremen would like to do that apparently:

The player is still very Young and Raw, Bundesliga is the best for him at this point, wont Start every game but will get minutes off the bench, Werder would also be good for him if Kaiser get relegated

if the above is true, then it's a no-brainer for him- Ajax- the Cambridge of football schools. He would learn so much there under the tutelage of Dutch experts

Although I hope Ajax will, I doubt it'll make a move for him.

To get him at 19 years old would mean that he is an outstanding talent and that Ajax thinks that already he can compete with their own attacking midfielders like Eriksen and Lodeiro (who are starters for their national teams).

If he can't compete with them, he'll spend his career at Ajax on the bench. Add to that the fact that Greeks seem to fail at Ajax, apart from Machlas, who was decent, but not at his Vitesse level. Charisteas was just not the player for Ajax and Anastasiou was abit of a cult hero but only good as a late sub.

That's just how I as an Ajax fan see it.

Fortounis came on the 86th minute in Kaiserslautern's goalless draw against Wolfsburg... do Kaiserslautern score any goals?

Watching the first half of Kaiserlautern against Rehhagel's Hertha. Kaiserslautern leading 2-0, with a very nice assist from Fortounis for the second goal. He also did a good job on the first goal with a cross from the right side.

What is so funny??

I watched him in the under 21's and he compares to Tsiartas at the same age. Not a carbon copy but he has other strengths. He is a true dekari and he is still a baby at 19 with loads of development to come and was impressive in his debut for Ethniki.

He's not even in the same universe as Tsiartas when it comes to accurate and consistent striking of the ball.
