Με τις καταθέσεις των πρώτων μαρτύρων στην Εισαγγελία Οικονομικού Εγκλήματος, ανοίγει την Τρίτη 14/6 ο φάκελος των υπέρογκων στοιχηματισμών και των ακόμη μεγαλύτερων κερδών από Έλληνες παράγοντες, σε στοιχηματικές εταιρίες της Μαλαισίας. Η υπόθεση συνδέεται με τις αναμετρήσεις Ξάνθη-Παναθηναϊκός 3-2 και ΠΑΣ Γιάννινα-Καστοριά 1-2 του 2008.

Οι πρώτοι μάρτυρες που θα περάσουν την Τρίτη το κατώφλι της Εισαγγελίας, είναι ο παλιός παράγοντας της διαιτησίας, Σωτήρης Βοργιάς, ο πρόεδρος της Παναχαϊκής, Αλέξης Κούγιας και οι δημοσιογράφοι, Κυριάκος Θωμαϊδης, Μπάμπης Κατσούλης και Φέρρυ Μπατζόγλου.

Η υπόθεση ήταν γνωστή, ωστόσο το ύψος του στοιχηματισμού, τα συνολικά κέρδη (περίπου 23,5 εκατ. ευρώ) και η περιγραφή του ποιοι ήταν αυτοί που στοιχημάτισαν (γιος παράγοντα του Παναθηναϊκού κτλ) ήρθαν στο φως της δημοσιότητας πριν από μερικές ημέρες στην εκπομπή «Δίκη» του Blue Sky.

In short: The Greek justice is inquiring why big bets were placed in 2008 on the Xanthi-PAO match (3-2) and the Yanena-Kastoria match (1-2) in 2008. The bettors, people active in the Greek soccer, pocketed about 23.5 million euros; amomg them, according to the show "trial" of Blue Sky was the son of a person occupying an important position in PAO.

Since our foremost expert in matters of corruption is no longer around, whoever has an opinion as to who and how managed to fix these matches (if they were indeed fixed) is welcome to shere it with us.

Finally, it remains to be seen if the role of the reporter (Asvestas) is to reveal the truth or to whitewash the whole affair.

Iltibas this is good. Do you have any news on the Panathinaikos - Police link???? I am referring to the undeniable link existing between panathinaikos fans and the lovely police in Greece.

Specifically, the reason why police and panathinaikos go hand in hand to games???? If so that would be great. For the time being, this betting scandal does nicely.

But I wonder where it will lead, seeing as Pilavios is a panathinaikos fan.

Fortunately or unfortunately I am completely unaware as to what occurs behind the scenes.

Many years ago there was the famous, possibly infamous, NOPO whose philosophy (sparse as it was) was entirely aligned
with the theory and practice of power and authority; both philosophically and practically.

NOPO was destroyed by the gun toting Vardinoyannis (when I hear people speaking of culture I drwaw my gun), and not much
has been heard of it eversince.

I have no idea of present links, if any; ask me the same question in 2030!

I know of no other.

It can be argued though that the NOPO mentality is well represented among the supporters of all teams and that when we examine reality, not appearances, NOPO won and Vardinoyannis lost the contest.

It will interesting to see what the justice will do, if anything, with the current case (match fixing and betting on fixed matches).

Διάλογος κορυφαίου διεθνούς μπασκετμπολίστα, το όνομα του οποίου θα πέσει σαν βόμβα στο ελληνικό πρωτάθλημα, με μεγαλοπαράγοντα επαρχιακής ΠΑΕ επιβεβαιώνει ότι οι ίδιοι άνθρωποι που έστηναν ποδοσφαιρικούς αγώνες «φρόντιζαν» και για τις αναβολικές ουσίες με τις οποίες ενισχύονταν οι αθλητές διαφόρων αθλημάτων.

Στην τηλεφωνική επικοινωνία που περιλαμβάνεται στη δικογραφία και αποκαλύπτει το «Βήμα» ακούγεται ο γνωστός μπασκετμπολίστας να ζητάει το «φάρμακό του» από τον παράγοντα της ΠΑΕ. Από την συζήτηση προκύπτει μάλιστα ότι ο τελευταίος εξασφαλίζει απαγορευμένες ουσίες και για τους ποδοσφαιριστές της ομάδας του οι οποίοι «δεν μπορούν να κοιμηθούν το βράδυ».

Στη δικογραφία περιέχονται στοιχεία που προκύπτουν από τις υποκλοπές της ΕΥΠ για συνεννοήσεις νονών της νύχτας με αστυνομικούς της ΕΛΑΣ στην επαρχία, αλλά και για στοίχημα που είχε παιχτεί από τη φυλακή για αγώνα στο αλβανικό πρωτάθλημα.

In short: Several people were arrested, such as Mbeos and Psomiadis son, accused og game fixing.

Three anong them are also accused of planning the murder of a retired referee.

The fellow who bet 1,6m (euros) and pocketed einnings worth 13,6M (XAnthi-PAO 3-2) is not among those arrested; prior infoemation claimed that the lucky fellow's father had an important position in PAO.

Because no ofence to PAO fans it is pretty easy from he clues to guess that Pateras is the big fish with the big scandal of the derby and its most probably the Aris-PAO game.

atromitos match was no way fixed, i cant believe how many people get the idea this game was somehow fixed, we deservedly won and Lympeopoulos was onside for the goal. Ever since the pictures came out showing lymperopoulos onside, and proving everyone wrong, people shut their mouths.

We have not been squeaky clean, with regards to Psomiadis corruption, but we never tainted our club, we never BENEFITED from corruption. Various enemies of AEK including Psomiaidis used corruption AGAINST AEK. So Manoli you are right. We have never bribed our way to win games and titles.

My inclination is that everybody is involved in this match fixing-corruption etc . some more than others and if anyone could trust the Greek justice system ( yeah, I know that is an oxymoron ) then the real bad guys would be put away.

In the meantime , juts talk facts that come out from time to time in the media as to where this case might lead to. Lymperopoulos scoring from a marginal offside position is something normal and seen quiet often all over the World in many games, how is that connected with this case ?

Also if your particular team isn't as corrupt as the others does not give you the right to ride some high moral horse either on this subject.

It is asserted that a "derby" was fixed and that active soccer players, one of whose has played for the national team, are involved. So tha t sportdog.gr writes:

Question #1: Of whom do you think they are talking? How many international fefensive players used to play in Thessaloniki and now play for a team in Athens/Piraeus?

Question #2 (for experts, I guess): Who is the young midfielder?
