QUOTE (londrezos @ Sep 28 2011, 08:53 PM) *
its not just having a good side, they have a good coach too. The side is only half the issue. I think they would win the Greek league of they played in Greece. jovanovic is really good.

No 'I think' they would definitely win the Greek championship

The performance in Europe by Cypriot teams this season has been amazing.

APOEL are very close to being the first Cypriot team to make it into the Last 16. If you consider how well they did last time round, this comes as no surprise to anybody. They have a perfect defensive setup, and good players like Ailton & Manduca to get some goals.

AEK Larnaca were in the B Division a few seasons ago, so to see them in the Europa League is really special. They've done quite well, excluding the thrashing they received at home to Schalke...but they kept a 0-0 away.

Omonoia were very close to getting into the Europa League too.

AEK Larnaka 2-1 Maccabi Haifa excellent result

FC Schalke 11
Maccabi Haifa 6
Steaua Bucharest 5
AEK Larnaka 5

AEK Larnaka must beat Steaua, and hope Maccabi Haifa either loses or draws with Schalke
