ERT World again are not showing the PAOK game.

Complete and utter fucking disgrace.
What are these clowns up to?
I wonder if they will get their act together in time.

They have the rights for PAOK and Asteras home games. The game is an Asteras home game.
WHY THE HELL AREN'T THEY SHOWING IT?

PAOK should have stayed with Antenna, at least their diaspora channel Antenna Pacific actually SHOWED the games.

There must be special clauses in the contract not to show the games in Europe and Australia. They have done it for Europe in the past.

As for PAOK picking what channel they will be on, they had no choice in the matter, since the international rights to all the teams are held by TAF Sports.

You would have to ask ERT and TAF Sports to find out.

This thread was opened so we can figure out what is really happening with the rights situation, since ERT and/or TAF Sports are not coming forward with any answers. Unless they come out with specific answers, all this is speculation on my part.

As long as they read it and fix the problem. I don't want a reply from them.

Will try the other emails later

Here is the situation for Round 4:

ERT World controls the following games:

20-Sep-09

16:45 GR: Skoda Xanthi - Panthrakikos
21:15 GR: PAOK - Olympiakos

ERT World should show both games. The Xanthi game might even be available in Australia, since ERT holds the rights to their games directly.

However, if the Greek basketball NT advances from the quarterfinals and semifinals, I see ERT World showing either the 3rd place game (19:30 GR) or the final (22:00 GR) live, which will mean that the PAOK - Olympiakos game will most likely be tape delayed. This will apply only for North America, since as we know ERT World for some unknown reason does not show the games in Europe and Australia.

It will be on ERT World. They have been showing all the games after the preliminary group matches.

Guys since you are having problem reaching to the channels I have spoken to Dish Network and we have agreed to create a SUGGESTION BOX topic here where you can put all this stuff there and a DISH NETWORK representative will take the comments/suggestions/etc and utilize their contacts at ERT and ANT1 to get things heard from our standpoint. I will let you know when everythign is setup for that .. not too long.

I received clarification concerning the rights to Superleague games on ERT World.

ERT World has the rights for North America and Australia. The reason the games have not been televised in Australia yet is due to a matter of planning. The situation will be resolved in one or two weeks. In about two weeks at the latest the games will be available on ERT World in Australia.

Additionaly, ERT World or Antenna don't have the rights to show the Superleague games in Europe.

Concerning the games on Sunday now that the Greek basketball NT has qualified to the semis.

First, the Xanthi - Panthrakikos game will be on live at 16:45 GR on all feeds of ERT World, including Europe and Australia.

As for the big derby, if the NT plays for 3rd place in Euro I have a feeling the soccer game will be on tape delay right after the basketball game. The basketball game starts at 19:30 GR and the soccer game at 21:15 GR.

If the NT makes the final, which we all hope they do, I see ERT World showing the basketball game live. Starting time is 22:00 GR. After the basket I see them showing Athlitiki Kyriaki, which is scheduled to start at 24:00 GR. And then I see them showing the PAOK - OSFP game after Athlitiki Kyriaki. This scenario applies to US only, since apparently the problem preventing the Australian broadcasts will most likely not be resolved by Sunday.
