It appears that Doxa Drama will finally finish their home ground which has remained unfinished for many years now:

It's always nice to see teams making some kind of effort to modernize their infrastructure. This will allow Doxa to return home and play in front of their fans as opposed to playing their home games in Thessaloniki at the Kaftanzoglio Stadium.

Who the hell designed this stadium? What kind of attrocity is this?

Why is everything done half-assed in Greece. And to think that this stadium used to hold first division games.

A Greek stadium is NOT complete unless the stands do NOT form a completed ring.

I would say the plans look a 16 year old has been let loose on AutoCAD, but that would be an insult to the 16 year old. These have to be some of the most half-assed plans I have ever seen - and I follow Greek stadia development all the time...

They're missing that big retaining wall behind the goals

Its not complete without a massive wall behind 1 of the goals (see: Xanthi, Panaitolikos)

It says on the Wikipedia page that it holds 10,000 but I can check out if it's more. I was supposed to go and watch them play in October but I missed their training games, and their league games are played in Thessaloniki.

Besides, this stadium wasn't built during our lifetime. It's probably built in the 50's or 60's. It's been standing there since at least when I was a kid.

I think our ancient theaters were better built to be honest. At least in those days they could complete a ring of seats without gaps..

LMAO at that second pic! we've trully gone backwards..Our ancestors must be rolling in their graves..

All they need is to finish off the ring and maybe make a few more shaded areas to make the stadium look decent, if hey can put a cover over all of the seated areas , it would make it look very modern I think PAOK and aris should do that also, not just teams in Athens having the modern stadiums. GSL should put something in so everyone has to comply with uefa standards. Especially for the teams that always play in Europe.

Και εγένετο φως!!!

Η Δόξα έχει πλέον το δικό της... φωτισμένο γήπεδο! Η ομάδα της Δράμας, που πέρυσι ξεσπιτώθηκε και αγωνιζόταν στο Καυτανζόγλειο για τη Super League, ανάβει από απόψε τα... φώτα και γιορτάζει!

Μάλιστα, οι φίλαθλοι της ομάδας πήγαν στο ανακαινισμένο γήπεδο και έστησαν ψησταριές ψήνοντας σουβλάκια...

Οι «αετοί» θα δώσουν, στο πλαίσιο της φετινής Football League, το πρώτο βραδινό παιχνίδι στη Δράμα, η οποία «έλαμψε» μετά τη φωταγώγηση του γηπέδου.
