I am not much of a fan of the 4-2-2-2. The way I see it it is too similar to the old Brazilian 4-2-4. The 4-2-4 isn't terrible, but if you're going to play it, it has to be all out. 4-2-2-2 tries to compromise between 4-4-2 (w/flat midfield) and 4-2-4 and gets stuck in no man's land.

On the other hand, if you turn your lineup into a standard 4-4-2 I think it's a fine idea. If Salpi isn't going to play up top, I think his next best position is probably RM.

Etto, Cirillo, Malezas, Lino; Salpi, Garcia, Lazar, Georgiadis; Athanasiadis, Nimani

Something I'd like to try would be a 4-4-1-1, same as above but with Athanasiadis the striker and Fotakis in behind him.

If Georgiadis can't do LM then we could also slot Lino there and play Stafylidis at LB. Then it's a choice of either Salpi or Georgiadis at RM. Of course, our whole team right now has to be a very fluid one, we have a lot of youngsters who can and will challenge for these spots. No one has their position cemented.

That's why we need to keep Boloni so he can kep them on the right path. Unfortunately that's something Santos and the front office could not do with Koutsianikoulis. BTW now that Ergotelis is going to B' Division, will Koutsi return to PAOK?
