Still a chance of promotion to the SL for next season, sitting in 5th place at the moment 23 games in. Would be great to see them go up. Got a terrific fan base and always get good crowds
 I was there when we played Rodos last season to win promotion. 8k fans travelled from Agrionio and various other parts of Greece. The atmosphere was AMAZING!!

This is a club that the superleague needs , a fine stadium , sensational fanbase that sticks by the team . I think Panaitolikos and Ofi are clubs that are missing from the top flight.

all these types of clubs ...seem to fall away (fans and emotion wise) once they make SL..
Serres,PAS,Trikala,Larissa,Panachaiki,Ofi,veroia...etc.. they seem to get all this support and emotion when vying for promotion...when they get there...no one seems to turn up. |

^ amazing isn't it Red Sheriff? I too have always wondered if the teams we see in B ethiniki are the same when they get to the top flight truly baffling. Hopefully this club will start a new trend

Yeah, who knows why it happens.. OFI had some TERRIBLE crowds in their last season in the SL. I dont think this would happen with Pananitolikos. I was in Agrinion two years ago and by the vibe I was getting, they're itching for a SL team. I dont think it will happen to them. They've also invested heavily into youth teams - as young as under 9-10s. Club really has engaged with the community here so I'm sure if they win promotion (good start to the season so far), they'll get GREAT support in the SL. |

Looks like we're going up!!
5 games to go... 6 points ahead of OFI who are in 3rd spot, and a pretty good run home coming up against lower-mid table sides (plus, OFI still need to play PAS a second time). Bravo re, finally some teams in the SL with fans. Panaitolikos will most probably be one of the teams I will be cheering for next season (along with Trikala if they promote, Thessalian team
) if AEL relegates (we most probably will).

It should be mentioned that they're planing to raise the capacity on their stadium to 8 000 for the next season.

When I was there didn't really look like there was much room for expansion. Got a very good/sustainable set-up going on up there

Το γήπεδο του Παναιτωλικού με τις βελτιώσεις που θα γίνουν θα έχει χωρητικότητα πλέον των 8000 θέσεων και η σκέψη του Φ. Κωστούλα είναι να πληροί το κριτήριο 4 των κανονισμών υποδομής της Ουέφα κάτι που σημαίνει ότι όταν ολοκληρωθούν όλα τα έργα θα μπορεί να φιλοξενεί και ευρωπαϊκούς αγώνες! ΄Ήδη ο πρόεδρος Φ. Κωστούλας ανακοίνωσε σε τηλεοπτική εκπομπή στον Αχελώο ΤV ότι θα μεγαλώσει τη χωρητικότητα της μικρής εξέδρας ώστε να μπορεί να φιλοξενήσει 4700 φιλάθλους ενώ αναμένεται να κατασκευαστεί και πέταλο πίσω από την εστία της οδού Προυσσιωτίσης. Ήδη μελετούνται τα σχέδια από τους μηχανικούς και έχουν γίνει και οι απαραίτητες ενέργειες προς την πολιτεία προκειμένου να πάρει η ομάδα τις απαραίτητες αδειοδοτήσεις για να είναι έτοιμη όταν «κλειδώσει» η άνοδος να ξεκινήσουν τα έργα και να μην προκύψουν κατά τις εργασίες παρόμοιες με άλλες εποχές εμπλοκές. Σκέψεις υπάρχουν και για τον τρόπο τοποθέτησης του φωτισμού καθώς είτε θα τοποθετηθούν πυλώνες στο γήπεδο είτε θα μπει φωτισμός ευρωπαϊκού επιπέδου στο πάνω μέρος των δύο εξεδρών του γηπέδου. Ουσιαστικά ο σχεδιασμός είναι για ένα εντελώς καινούργιο γήπεδο, που θα αποτελέσει πόλο έλξης των φιλάθλων. Το δε κόστος των έργων με την ολοκλήρωσή τους αναμένεται να ξεπεράσει το ένα εκατομμύριο ευρώ. panaitolikosfans.gr |
