both are probably on vacation. craig forrest is at sportnet, and lenarduzzi was somewhere before. what i noticed now (other than howard) is that mostly all commentators/experts are a bunch of idiots who preach malakies and everyone believes them

Howard's good - He was on the Danforth after the Final partying it up with us.

That maimou can barely speak, get rid of him quick fast.

Vic Rauter tries far too hard because he has no talent - send him back the curling rink. The malaka!

and vic rauter... no knowledge of the game.

Vic Rauter isn't there to give in-depth analysis....he's just there because he has a fantastic broadcasting voice/tone! I love that guy.....haha MAKE THE FINAL..............GREECE 2...PORTUGAL 1.

Dick Howard is a class act, very knowledgable, and was a great keeper in his day. Craig Forrest used to be great on TSN, and still did a good job on Sportsnet. I'm just glad we got Graham Legget out of there.......the anti-Greek prick.

And yes, I saw Howard on the Danforth as well......he truly was happy that we won.

As for CARL Fletcher.....man, he just sucked. Just because he's a player, doesn't mean he should be in the studio. After the first couple of days, I thought it was just that he was nervous.....but all the way to the final, he never improved....every show looked like it was his first. Ah well........I don't think we'll have to worry about seeing him any time soon.

As for Stalteri.....I don't know how many of you saw it, but on the day of the final, there was an article in the Toronto Sun on him. It was saying how Stalteri is back in Toronto, and even though his wife is Portuguese, he was cheering for Greece, since of course he is Charisteas' teammate at Bremen. I would have loved to seen his reaction when Charisteas scored in the final.

Here's an excerpt from the article:

CHRISTINA STALTERI will be watching today's Euro 2004 soccer final with divided loyalties. Her roots are in Portugal, where her parents are from, but just last month she was partying with one of Greece's best players, who also happens to be one of her husband's good friends.

Stalteri's husband, Paul Stalteri, who is a Canadian-born star on a German championship team, plays with Angelos Charisteas, the Greek striker who became a hero with a goal against France.

"I hope he scores, I just hope we score more," she said. "On a personal level, I wouldn't want anything but good things for Charisteas, but Portugal is where is my heart is."

Both of Stalteri's parents are from Portugal, and her father, Fernando Ferreira, has been having fun showing his Greek friends a photograph of him arm in arm with Charisteas, Greece's beloved superstar.

"My father's really excited about all this stuff," said Stalteri, who grew up in Brampton.

Ferreira had the photo taken in May, in Bremen, Germany, at a presentation and dinner, during which Werder Bremen -- Paul's team -- was awarded the Bundesliga title they had won in Munich.

The Stalteris may have divided allegiances but there is no doubt who people are cheering for along Dundas St. W. Portugal's red and green flags blanket the area, swaying from cars and restaurants.

i read that too RG-17 .... and the good part was that he was not only hoping for greece to win, he was planning on seeing charistea score laugh.gif

and yes, vic rauter i dont mind, especially with that classic line, but honestly if fletcher is there for the world cup ill snap blink.gif ph34r.gif
