It looks real but I noticed there is no name on the back which is something that should be there... just checked out more video, Ionikos didnt have names even in 96/97

Greek jersey's didnt have names till i think 98+ onwards. Anything of mine pre 98 has no names. Ionikos didnt have a sponsor either before 97. But the jersey is official with all Lotto markings and its something that Ionikos didnt sell let alone Pao pre 95. You had to know someone to get a jersey back in the old days.

Why was Greek soccer so slow at merchandising?

Ionikos fans are staying loyal way down in Delta Ethniki. They're apparently still getting 1500 to home matches, and taking over 500 to away matches. Here's a video from their match with Ethnikos Peiraeus two weeks ago....

I think it's times like these that are some of the best times to be a fan. It really separates the hardcore fans from the fairweathers and would be a period you'd tell your kids/grandkids about...

I want to get down to a match soon, Ionikos are like my '2nd team'....

Have always had a soft spot for this team... many memory's if them in the late 90's early 00's playing some nice football. Would be great to see them back in the top flight one day smile.gif
