But you can just see whats going to happen cant you? If PASOK win the elections they will reneg on the promise of building PAO a stadium at Goudi and try and force PAO to play at OAKA which will be likea big white ghost after the olympics. And if ND win they will knock back Goudi because it was a promise made by PASOK. |

Thats why if Vardinoyiannis really wanted to build a stadium he would make sure of it by INVESTING some of his money in a new stadium forPAO and not rely on the government to DONATE him a stadium. Its so ironic, 3 months ago PAO released "Maketes" of the new Leoforos with a 32,00 capacity anda 8,000 seat basket court below. Now they have tried to take advantage of the upcoming elections and they have decided goudi is better because the governement will build it for them so they are going for all the finest fittings with a retractable roof etc etc.When the governement screws them though they will only have themselves to blame. |

 wasnt that the AEK arena design?anyways, i dont think the government will help fund the stadium 100%, but i remember a while back on Athlitiki Kyriaki when lianis was on that he said that he would give money to build stadiums from any team that asked, but not give the team money for any debts they have. what i dont recall is if he said this only includes stadiums used for olympic events, so therfore an olympic project -------------------- "Αυτή η ομάδα μοιάζει με κόμπρα. After seeing the design of the new stadium in Goudi, I came across this picture from www.thestadiumguide.com and I think it is almost identical. I know we don't have more in depth sketches of the new PAO stadium, but I would think they are going to end up pretty similar.
New PAO stadium Goudi 42,000?  Nigata Stadium, Japan 42,300   Tell you what, wouldn't mind seeing that in greece.  After Olympiakos, AEK and Panathinaikos build stadiums I say put in the bid for EURO 2012.

Chris...Hold those pics buddy...it seems the Government is stalling on building them the stadium they want
.Im guessing if PAO wan ta new stadium they will have to knock down and rebuild Leoforos and forget about Goudi. Otherwise they will make OAKA their new home

the seats look pretty far from the field though. i dont like that. its a nice stadium, hope pao builds one like that, but tighter.

Not anymore. This was a major problem when the option of Goudi came up around 1996. Since then the military camp has moved.
