After 5 long weeks, they're finally sending him home...

I'm feeling much better, avoided any spinal interference.
Will continue my therapy from home, continue my swimming and walks. Which I'm doing anyway. Generally all is good, thank you all for your support and well wishes, and especially thank YOU my love xxx.

After being bruised, battered and crippled for so long, it's good to get out and enjoy my favourite city... I missed it being stuck in hospital.

I feel like you should get a netflix account. It passed time greatly for me when I was in the hospital for about a week following my accident.

Thanks boys blush.gif

Neurosarcoidosis:

Nerves in my spine and up towards my brain, preventing me from doing a lot of things...
Mainly walking properly, I have to use crutches and other types of assistance.
I'm slowly getting a lot better, I was undiagnosed for over a year, doing exercises and walking around the block and swimming, 'cause I thought my legs were affected after I broke my ankle and had an operation and screws and metal put in.
I think I've got the right doctors this time, slowly helping me?

thumbs.gif Thanks again boys.
No it's not permanent Christo, I'm slowly getting a lot better and noticing improvement.

@ gavros, yeah more than a year undiagnosed and getting dicked around by doctors. The head of neurology at the hospital I was at had never seen such a case. He said it was a one in a million case, as it rarely affects the brain,

Yes my cast is red, remember back when I posted these pictures? blush.gif

Thank you guys, please read this from wikipedia:

Neurosarcoidosis

Neurosarcoidosis refers to sarcoidosis, a condition of unknown cause featuring granulomas in various tissues, involving the central nervous system (brain and spinal cord). It can have many manifestations, but abnormalities of the cranial nerves (a group of twelve nerves supplying the head and neck area) are the most common. It may develop acutely, subacutely, and chronically. Approximately 5-10% of people with sarcoidosis of other organs (e.g. lung) develop central nervous system involvement.

Only 1% of people with sarcoidosis will have neurosarcoidosis alone without involvement of any other organs. Diagnosis can be difficult, with no test apart from biopsy being completely reliable. Treatment is with immunosuppression. The first case of sarcoidosis involving the nervous system was reported in 1948.

One fucking percent... mad.gif

That i can imagine is very hard to 'swallow' Attilio.

My advice would be to play the lottery... with 'luck' like that, you must be a sureshot to win?
