Greece can not play vs Switzerland...
We are both in the same pot laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

Sweden and Czech Republic are in the same pot too,
they can not be in the same group... blink.gif

There are ONLY four teams per group...
therefore you can ONLY pick THREE to play in Greece's group smile.gif

You call me and my posts stupid ? nono.gif

why do you think sweden doesnt have anything to do in the top ?
i mean when Greece can play over 20 qualify games without losing then we will be up there to...
Even if they dont play attractive football they are definitely one of the top teams in europe and its tough to score against them when they play with a full team.

if these rankings only take into consideration the past qualifying rounds of this euro and the wc qualifying then its b.s. what does this tourney have to do with the world cup qualifying? last i looked, teams like france had automatic berths and did nothing in the world cup, then qualify from a weak group and get into pot 1, even though the world cup has nothing to do with this tournament

If we can get the result that we got vs Sweden this summer (2-1)
Then YES I want them in our group
same with England... another 2-2 would be fantastic

I do not like the rating that takes the WC 2002 into account
It should be based on the qualifiers

Russia ahead of Greece is outrageous...

Here is proof that Greece SHOULD be in pot 3

We are rated ahead of Russia and Bulgaria, Croatia, Switzerland, Latvia:

"Immediately after UEFA announced its seedings yesterday, a British bookmaker, William Hill, offered his odds for the tournament.

France is the bookmaker’s top choice for the title with odds of 100/30,
followed by Italy on 11/2 odds.

Greece was given 50/1 odds,

Bulgaria, Croatia, Russia, and Switzerland trail with 66/1 odds.
Latvia, which stunned 2002 World Cup semifinalist Turkey in Wednesday’s playoff, is, according to the bookmaker, the tournament’s outsider, with odds of 200/1."

Thank you Mr Hill,

I trust the professionals thumbs.gif

i feel now that they wont be surprises no matter who we beat. guys the team is very confident and are not over the top with their egos. i guess they want to make us proud for the USA94 humiliation, they feel they owe it to the country. we are guarenteed this time that if we lose a game, it will be because we lost to a better team, not cuz our players were hung over thumbs.gif thumbs.gif

Pretty much make a lineup and convince us that its what the nt should use...

Normal:

............................Nikopolidis
...............................Antzas
Seitaridis..................Dellas...................Venetidis
.................Stoltidis..................Zikos
.............................Karagounis
Lakis......................................................Stelios
...............................Vryzas

Attacking:

............................Nikopolidis
Seitaridis..................Dellas...................Venetidis
.................Stoltidis..................Zikos
Lakis........................Tsiartas......................Stelios
................Papa/Charisteas.....Demis

We are going to have to play defensive, none of our strikers have proven worthy of being allowed a striking partnership whereas I feel like we do our most damage in the middle of the field and on the counter. Personally I feel we need a guy like Vryzas who as a striker is willing to defned and pressure the opponent, he can also score when needed and stelios/lakis/karagounis can also contribute to the offense. Our attacking formation is when we are facing a less classy side (a la sweden, or any pot 3 teams) tsiartas can exploit the opposing teams less talented mid/def and our strikers should be able to score.

................................Nikopolidis

.....................Antzas.....Dellas.....Kapsis

Seitaridis.....................Stoltidis.....................Venetidis

.................................Karagounis

.............Lakis........................................Giannakopoulos

....................................Vryzas..................................

3-6-1

Bottom line, that is what has gotton us here, that is how we play to our strenghs. And that is how, we are going to compete with the "big boys". A great defense, the trio who has not allowed a goal yet (we didn't see them vs Portugal), a midfield which is our STRENGH. 2 attacking midfielders/hidden strikers in Lakis and Stelios, who are both great in that role. Karagounis and Stoltidis is ONE HELL OF A MIDDLE. 2 tough sons of bitches, who run run run. Kara would have more offensive duties, while Iero would have more defensive. Both can help in each though. And they are both fighters. On the wings, Seitaridis and Venetidis are the best we have. Up front, whoever is in form... but I think Vryza works the best alone. Demis and Charistea need a partner to work off of.

I think this is what Otto will use... and I hope this is what he will use. We cannot play in a 4-4-2.

The 3-6-1 is a 5-4-1 when defending (or a 6-4-0 for our NT with Vryza lol) and a 3-4-3 when attacking, which is VERY importnat!!
