Peter Vagenas is Greek and plays for LA Galaxy in the MLS.

Do not think there is any other Greeks at the moment in the MLS. There are a many, many semi-pro leagues around the US that do have Greeks on them however.

GiannisAEK
Stamatopoulos (27) is now the backup GK for the CAN NT. He plays in Norway [Like most other European based Canadians] on Tromso.

Info:
IPB Image
D.O.B.: August 28, 1979 (Kalamata, Greece)
Hometown: Markham, ON
Height: 6’2
Weight: 190 lbs

International Caps:
4 - 2001 vs Malta; 2005 vs Spain, Luxembourg; 2006 vs USA.

Carrear
2006-2007: Tromso
2005-2006: Boden
2003-2005: Enkoping
2000-2003: Kalamata

He was born in Greece and even played 3 seasons there in the 2nd division. Nothing real special about the guy and he probably will get dropped from the NT once the Norwegian season starts again and Yallope realizes that hes just going to be their backup...

*Call up Fernandez before its to late!!!
**PS anyone else kind of find it funny that his name is Stamatopoulos and that hes also a GK? ... smile.gif

A-league? wacko.gif
IN the Australian NT there is many italian and croatian bad no greeks why?
NicktheGreek
I Believe its partly because most victorian clubs in the melbourne area are very greek. It is also because greeks are very lazy and would rather watch tv then go and train. However if you look at some greek clubs in melbourne such as oakleigh cannons or South melbourne hellas the players there are pretty much all greek and have some of the best players in victoria(if not australia).
ToPiratiko
there was a guy i think vagens from la galaxy
