Έπειτα από τρία χρόνια ποδοσφαιρικής τουρνέ στα ελληνικά γήπεδα, ο Πέτρος Φιλιππάκος αναζητεί την Ιθάκη του στις ΗΠΑ.

Το άλλοτε πουλέν του Ντούσαν Μπάγεβιτς δεν μακροημέρευσε σε κανένα ελληνικό σύλλογο. Από την ΑΕΚ, βρέθηκε στον Ολυμπιακό από εκεί μεταπήδησε στον Άρη και φέτος κατέληξε στον Εθνικό όπου δεν κατάφερε να προκαλέσει αίσθηση με την παρουσία του.

Έτσι, ο ομογενής στράικερ μάζεψε τα μπογαλάκια του και επέστρεψε στις Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες προκειμένου να εξασφαλίσει ένα συμβόλαιο στο MLS με τη φανέλα των Red Bulls.

Οι Αμερικανοί αφιερώνουν μερικές αράδες στον Φιλιππάκο τονίζοντας ότι αγωνίστηκε ως συμπαίκτης του Ριβάλντο, έχει γνωρίσει την οργή των οπαδών του Άρη με την ενέργεια του να πετάξει τη φανέλα της ομάδας σε ένα ματς με τον Εθνικό αλλά και τις δυσκολίες που αντιμετώπισε στην ομάδα του Πειραιά.

Σημειώνεται, ότι προπονητής των Νιου Γιορκ Red Bulls είναι ο Μπρους Αρίνα, ο οποίος καθοδήγησε τις ΗΠΑ στο Μουντιάλ της Γερμανίας.

I still read the forums all the time. I just post much less. Most of the guys I liked in the Olympiakos forum don't post as much either, and the forum has been flooded largely by a bunch of young kids who don't know too much, so...

I think he has his hopes on playing for the US national team.

Greece tried to cap him for the U21 but he turned it down. (please no comments that this is enough to show that he is not Greek; obviously the kid is Greek).

He was very talented but a bit of a headcase. I'm curious to see if his coming back to the states does anything for him. He is only 24 so who knows.
