And I'll take the privelege of doing the first game report in this thread.
Vryzas started for Perugia, played the whole match, and most importantly SCORED (in the 30th minute) in today's 1-1 draw with AC Milan. Hopefully this guy is getting some recognition in Italy by now.
As for Kostantinos Loumpoutis, he came on in the 76th minute for Perugia.

Man, this guy is nothing special, doesn;t have any abilities that stand out yet scores all the time! Some people just know how to put the ball in the net.....
I have a new found respect for Vryza lately, and now he did it vs AC MILAN! That is top opposition....

Its the other way around if you ask me

he doesnt score often but he is very important in the offense and even defense, a player that would be usefull on any team

I really proud of Vryzas, he has struck gold in Italy and that goal against milan will give him even more notariety. He is a very good player but i hope he doesn't move to a big team like karagounis and have them not give him a chance. If he is gonna go to a big team then he should make sure that he is gonna get a lot of playing time to prove himself and not end up like Karagounis. I wish him the best in the Italian league.

Not only Karagouni but also Dellas with Roma. Same thing. Della was outstanding in Perugia, everybody saying nice things about him, and the heart of their defence then he leaves and goes to Roma and boom... he's playing left bench.
Same thing could happen to Vryza.

Vryzas got the start in today's 2-1 away victory against Scotland's Dundee in UEFA Cup action.
He got subbed out in the 87th minute, while Loumboutis did not get off the bench in this one.

I was following the minute by minute of this game from UEFA.com and Vryza had a good game. They mentioned his name few times. They also mentioned Loumbouti, maybe it was a misprint though??

Here are the stats on Vryzas and Loumpoutis for this year:
Perugia 2-2 Siena
Vryzas scored in the 8' minute and played 83 minutes.
Loumpoutis started and played 53' minutes on Perugia's left side.
Parma 3-0 Perugia
Both started this match, and both were subed later on.
Perugia 1-1 AC Milan
Vryzas started and scored in the 31' minute.
Loumpoutis came on as a sub in the game.
Chievo Verona 4-1 Perugia
Vryzas and Loumpoutis both started and played the whole match. Vryza picked up a yellow card.
Vryza has 2 goals in 4 games.

And it seems Loumpoutis is a STARTER for them, he plays regularly.....

Vryzas was not in the starting line-up for Perugia for their 2-2 draw with Bologna, and he wasn't even on the bench!
Is he injured??
Anyway, Loumpoutis came on as a sub, while Nastos remained glued to the bench.

Zisi started the game, and was later subed off today in Perugias 3-3 draw. They seem to be struggling.... I did not see the other 2 Greeks in the line-up.

Won't be next season though.
Don't know why he'd want to leave the nut house aka AC Perugia. Played a great game last night against Chievo in the cup as he had a hand in 2 of the 3 goals. He was also the captain so I don't see why he'd want to join the mighty Viola. Not that I'd complain of course about that happening.

btw, I see Otto still choosing him, what an embarresment.

According to the news the team gets 2 million not Vryzas.
They havent mentioned his salary.
But still Fiorentina is planning a lot of good signings when the transfer market opens again and they will probably advance to Seria a and Vryzas will light up seria b, he is even playing well in serie a.
He wont loose his place in the NT and Serie b isnt bad.
Thrylos
Dec 17 2003, 04:45 PM
I agree with Blackhell, the Serie B top teams could beat some of the teams in Greece's top division. Fiorentina is a HUGE Italian team and destined to be back in the Serie A, moving there now will only endear Zisis to their fans and make him a lock in the starting 11 of one of the most historic teams in Europe.
