Over-30 Practices
We have practice on Wednesday, August 1, 2007 at Schaumburg's Sports Center. Please be there at 7:30PM the latest as we only have the field for one hour starting at 8:00PM.
Over-30 2007 Outdoor Membership Dues
2007 Outdoor Membership dues are due as soon as possible to cover the costs for the 2007 outdoor season - O2ur immediate expenses for the outdoor season are: $700 (NSL fee), $820 (home field costs). Each player will need to pay $150 to cover these expenses plus any other miscellaneous expenses.
Over-40/Over-50 Practices
Practices are very Tuesday and Thursday at Glenview's Flick Park.
History
In 1979, a group of Greeks from the Chicagoland area inspired by their passion for soccer, decided to create a Greek soccer team.
The group consisted of Lakis Kehagias, Chris Kehagias, Tom Kontos, Jim Kritikos, Kostas Kostaras, Ted Koulouris, Nikos Kaliabasis, Nick Giannopoulos, Andreas Saradopoulos and Demos Giannopoulos. The team has been participating in Chicago's premier National Soccer League for the past 3 decades.
In the fall of 2004 John Kosmas and Spiro Arsenis took over as managers of the Over-30 team, which still participates in the National Soccer League.
In the summer of 2005 Hellas Soccer Club Over-40 and another Chicagoland Greek club, Falcons FC, merged to form the Hellas Falcons Over-40 and Hellas Falcons Over-50 teams.
Andreas Kosmas and Yannis Yacoumakis became the managers of the Hellas Falcons Over-40 team and Steve Siomos became the manager of the Hellas Falcons Over-50 team - both teams participate in the Chicago Metro league.
