Brazilian striker Denilson has become the latest to depart from FC Nea Kavala, ironically without playing a minute for the Macedonian club.
Reports from Greece have highlighted Denilson's poor fitness and lack of initiative to improve his physical condition as the main reason for the Brazilian's release.
Denilson's lack of willingness to gain match fitness included the Brazilian skipping out on training in recent days as Kavala's early swipes at the transfer market were made apparent with the release of several top stars and coach Aad De Mos.
The list of departures includes the exit of former Anorthosis Famagusta FC duo Lukasz Sosin and Sinisa Dobrasinovic and that of Australian defender Craig Moore, while former Greece international Vasilis Lakis is also expected to be sent packing.
Despite sitting in sixth place in the Greek Super League with just one round of fixtures left, it appears Kavala's late season collapse has angered management with the club's exit from the Greek Cup sparking disappointment in the Kavala front office.
