According to reports emanating from Piraeus, Olympiacos FC are expected to sign goalkeeper Franco Costanzo to a 3-year contract on Friday.

The Argentine shot-stopper, who is available on a free transfer from Switzerland's FC Basel 1893, is due to arrive in Athens on Friday after weeks of speculation over a potential move to the port city.

According to several media outlets in Greece, Costanzo and his agent allegedly have a verbal agreement with the Greek Champions over a 3-year contract which will yield the 30-year-old a reported 700,000 per annum.

Olympiacos are expected to announce the deal on Friday after the player completes a medical at the club's headquarters. Costanzo will arrive at the club to replace the likes of veteran ‘keeper Antonis Nikopolidis who retired at the end of the season, and Urko Pardo who was not re-signed following the expiration of his loan agreement.
